A couple of days ago, WWE announced that The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev was scheduled to take on The Undertaker in a Casket Match at WWE’s upcoming event, Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia on April 27th.
However, just yesterday Rusev was suddenly pulled from the match and replaced with Chris Jericho. WWE.com first broke the news:
“In a stunning turn of events, The Undertaker will battle Chris Jericho in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27.”
This came hours after a TMZ interview was released of Rusev and his wife, Lana trash talking The Deadman. But, the WWE claimed that Rusev was removed due to Lana showing concern about her husband competing in a Casket Match:
All over the world, little boys and girls are celebrating #RusevDay, they smile for the greatest Superstar ever ! I’ve already spoke with @WWE officials to change that match because I REFUSE to let my husband @RusevBUL compete in a Casket Match at #WWEGRR! Happy #RusevDay

In response to being replaced, Rusev removed all references to the WWE on his Twitter profile including his trademarked name and even went as far as to unfollow all WWE accounts. After doing so, he tweeted the following:
Life is life….. it will be #RusevDay somewhere
